Sunday, 1st July was a perfect setting for the final One-day between
The Indian Team left for
Written off by his critics, The Master replied in the only way he can...with his bat.... he scored a classy knock of 99, and was run-out trying to steal a cheeky single. DeVilliers not out when he was caught at slip....maybe the overcast conditions made it difficult for the umpire to see....)Nonetheless, Indian chase started shakily, losing the Gr8 man for only 8..n then losing 38/3... then Yuvraj n Dravid steadied the ship... and Yuvraj got us home with a fine unbeaten 61. He got the Man of the Match....while Sachin got the Man of the Series award, which he decided to Share with Yuvraj..... a gesture rarely seen in the cricket world....
Now, the next assignment would be India-Pak series in
